Warranty:

At Alloy Custom Jewelers, we take immense pride in crafting jewelry with meticulous care, using only the finest materials. Every piece undergoes rigorous inspection to ensure it is free from known defects. To provide you with peace of mind, we offer a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

 

Manufacturing Defects:

Should you suspect a manufacturing defect, please bring your piece to our Cedar Falls Studio or return it via insured mail or an alternative shipping service. Our team will inspect and rectify any manufacturing defects. We understand that bezel, prong, and channel-set stones may periodically loosen; thus, stone tightening is complimentary for the life of the piece. For pieces worn daily, we recommend inspections every six months, while earrings and pendants, subject to less wear, can be inspected less frequently.

 

Limitations:

Please note that our warranty does not cover stone breakage, damage, or loss. We strongly advise arranging jewelry insurance through providers like Jewelers Mutual or your homeowners insurance, ensuring your treasured pieces are protected.

 

Inspection and Refinishing:

When sending items for inspection or refinishing, contact us in advance to alert us of the incoming package. Ensure the package discreetly conceals its contents. All returns require prior authorization; please contact us before sending anything. Insurance on packages sent to us is the responsibility of the shipper. Include proof of purchase in any return package.

Metals

At Alloy Custom Jewelers, we exclusively use the finest quality alloys of 14k,18k gold, platinum, and occasionally sterling silver and palladium for our original pieces. If you have a nickel allergy, we recommend platinum or our premium white gold/palladium alloy, which is nickel-free.

 

Surface Finishes:

Expect the original surface finishes on our metals to naturally wear to a dull shine over time. Cleaning, polishing, and refinishing are complimentary services. You can opt for a yearly "showroom" finish, but be aware that each polish/refinish removes a small amount of metal.

 

Maintenance:

For gold, expect to re-tip prongs, bezels, or channel sets every 5-10 years, while platinum and palladium may require attention every 10-20 years. Alternative metal jewelry such as stainless steel, tungsten carbide or titanium jewelry, however, cannot be sized or soldered and is crafted from scratch to fit you.

 

Recycled and Sourced Casting Materials:

We prioritize sustainability by partnering with certified metal suppliers. Our commitment to environmental impact reduction extends to the use of recycled materials and alloys. Certifications ensure compliance with the Dodd-Frank Act, providing assurance that our materials are sourced responsibly from "DRC-Conflict Free" mines or other domestic U.S. sources.
