Find your size on this screen
Have a ring that fits the finger you’re shopping for? Measure it here. No ring? Measure a strip of paper instead.
Step 1
Match your screen to a credit card
Screens differ, so we check yours once. Hold any credit or debit card flat against the screen, then drag the gold dot (or use the slider) until the outline is exactly the size of the card. We’ll remember it on this device.
Step 2
Size the circle to the inside of your ring
Rest your ring flat on the screen, over the circle, and adjust until the circle just touches the inside edge of the ring. Look straight down at it so the edges line up.
Match your screen to a card first (step 1), then this will work.
Measure it
Wrap, mark and measure a strip of paper
Wrap a thin strip of paper snugly around the base of your finger. Mark where the end meets the strip, lay it flat, and measure from the end to your mark with a ruler, in millimeters. The four drawings below show how.
Type it in
How long was your strip?
On-screen measuring is a very good guide, usually within half a size. It can’t see how a ring sits over your knuckle or how a wide band feels, so we always confirm your size with you before we make your piece.
With a Strip of Paper
Four easy steps
-
Wrap
Wrap a thin strip of paper snugly around the base of the finger you’ll wear the ring on.
-
Mark
Mark the spot where the paper meets itself, with a pen or a small pinch.
-
Measure
Lay the strip flat and measure it with a ruler, in millimeters. That’s your finger’s circumference.
-
Match
Type your number into the tool above, or find the closest one in the chart below. Between two sizes? Choose the larger.

Sizing tips
Measure at the end of the day
Fingers are smaller in the morning and when cold, and a little larger when warm.
Mind the knuckle
The ring has to slide over it. If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, size for the knuckle.
Wide bands fit tighter
For bands 6 mm and wider, many people go up a quarter or half size. A comfort-fit band (rounded inside) feels a little roomier.
Measure the finger you’ll wear it on
Your dominant hand is usually slightly larger.
Between Sizes?
A little room to be unsure
Wide bands and comfort-fit bands can feel different. A wide band covers more of your finger and usually wants a little more room, while a comfort-fit band (rounded inside) feels roomier than its size suggests. If you’re between sizes, or shopping for a wide band, choose the larger and tell us. We’ll talk it through.
We confirm your size with you before we make or order your piece. For engagement rings, your first resize is free within one size up or down, and it’s usually done in a day or two.
Can it be resized later? Most gold and platinum rings can be resized. Eternity bands, with diamonds all the way around, and bands in alternative metals such as tungsten, titanium, cobalt, ceramic, zirconium, tantalum and stainless steel can’t be resized, so we confirm your exact size before we make or order them.

Sizes follow the US ring scale: inside diameter in millimeters = 11.63 + 0.8128 × US size, as published in the ISO 8653:2016 conversion annex and in standard jeweler references; circumference = π × diameter. Each whole size is about 0.81 mm of diameter, and a quarter size about 0.2 mm. Figures are for the inside of a ring and are rounded to 0.1 mm.
