Warranty Coverage

Duration:

  • Lifetime Warranty: We offer a lifetime warranty on the craftsmanship of our custom jewelry pieces. This covers any defects in materials or workmanship under normal wear.

What is Covered:

  • Defects in Workmanship: Any structural defects, including loose stones (excluding center stones) due to faulty craftsmanship.
  • Material Defects: Any issues arising from faulty materials used in the construction of the jewelry.
  • Maintenance Services: Complimentary cleaning and inspections twice a year to ensure your jewelry remains in pristine condition.

What is Not Covered

  • Normal Wear and Tear: This warranty does not cover damage due to normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, or discoloration.
  • Accidental Damage: Damage resulting from accidents, misuse, or negligence.
  • Loss or Theft: This warranty does not cover lost or stolen items.
  • Unauthorized Repairs: Any repairs or modifications made by a third party will void the warranty.

Claim Process

How to Make a Claim:

  2. Inspection: Bring or send your jewelry piece to our store for an inspection by our expert jewelers.
  3. Assessment: Our team will assess the issue and determine if it falls under the warranty coverage.
  4. Resolution: We will repair or replace the defective part at no cost to you if it is deemed a warranty issue.

Additional Services

Lifetime Trade-Up Guarantee:

  • Upgrade your diamond or gemstone: If you decide to upgrade your diamond or gemstone, you will receive credit for the original purchase price towards your new selection.

Maintenance and Care:

  • We recommend bringing your jewelry to us for professional cleaning and inspection every six months to maintain its beauty and integrity.

Exclusions and Limitations

  • This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
  • Warranty claims must be accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase.

Metals

At Alloy Custom Jewelers, we exclusively use the finest quality alloys of 14k,18k gold, platinum, and occasionally sterling silver and palladium for our original pieces. If you have a nickel allergy, we recommend platinum or our premium white gold/palladium alloy, which is nickel-free.

 

Surface Finishes:

Expect the original surface finishes on our metals to naturally wear to a dull shine over time. Cleaning, polishing, and refinishing are complimentary services. You can opt for a yearly "showroom" finish, but be aware that each polish/refinish removes a small amount of metal.

 

Maintenance:

For gold, expect to re-tip prongs, bezels, or channel sets every 5-10 years, while platinum and palladium may require attention every 10-20 years. Alternative metal jewelry such as stainless steel, tungsten carbide or titanium jewelry, however, cannot be sized or soldered and is crafted from scratch to fit you.

 

Recycled and Sourced Casting Materials:

We prioritize sustainability by partnering with certified metal suppliers. Our commitment to environmental impact reduction extends to the use of recycled materials and alloys. Certifications ensure compliance with the Dodd-Frank Act, providing assurance that our materials are sourced responsibly from "DRC-Conflict Free" mines or other domestic U.S. sources.
